The incident took place in New Haven around noon on Thursday, Jan. 18 when the police department received a call claiming bombs had been placed at all three locations, said the New Haven Police.
Officers arrived at the three buildings and quickly evacuated them before the department's Hazardous Devic Unit responded and conducted sweeps in the area without finding any explosive devices, Sgt. Cherelle Carr of the New Haven Police said.
An investigation led detectives to Tyrell Walton, age 32, of New Haven, as the person who called in the threats, Carr said.
She added that he was apprehended shortly after and charged with threatening and breach of peace.
Walton is being held on a $500,000 bond.
The investigation continues.
